There is a known statement that people do not learn from the history. There is also one telling that we really learn only from own mistakes. If those are true I’m afraid that we might have stopped learning in IT at the moment of coping Toyota-way into Lean Software Development.
What about their quality problems during last years? Will we face the same in huge IT projects soon or maybe we are already at the same, difficult point?
Let’s focus on risks emerging from hiper-productivity attitude and scaling the organisation - by analogy with ‘toyota-effect’ I will present similarities already spotted, leaving listeners with ‘watch-out!’ points to take care of. Moreover, we will take a look on IT-specific HR market and risks it introduces into quality of software products.
